Shannon Huffer
PRESIDENT
Shannon has been in commercial real estate since 2015. Shannon started in luxury residential real estate, in Austin, TX, in 2005 and learned a lot about short sales after the 2008 crash. She created a blind pool investment trust and flipped homes from 2008 - 2012. After moving back home to Kentucky in 2012, and burnt out with the real estate rollercoaster she decided to pursue her law degree. She graduated Cum Laude and transitioned to the commercial real estate banking industry. Where she worked with developers, counsel, and local governments, across the U.S. to facilitate the banks CRE requirements via LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) deals. After some time in banking she moved back into private investments, creating a PPM (Private Placement Memorandum) and putting together one of the first Opportunity Zone Investments, in which she still acts as a partner. Unable to find enough opportunities to keep her occupied she moved back into brokerage, where she worked for CBRE selling hundreds of millions of dollars of LIHTC deals coast to coast. She now runs her own brokerage company focused on helping women find a way to break into commercial real estate.
Shannon is the co-chair of the Affordable Housing Council for CREW network nationwide. She also sits on the Louisville Housing Trust Fund board. In her free time your can find her hanging out with her husband of 20+ years and their two kids, plus their complete menagerie of pets.

PRESIDENT ELECT
Dionne Templeton is the Founder and CEO of Templeton Development Group (TDG), a mission-driven real estate development firm focused on building high-quality, affordable build-to-rent (BTR) modular home communities. With a deep commitment to housing equity and community revitalization, Dionne leads TDG’s strategy to address the growing need for affordable housing in underserved urban and suburban markets. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dionne’s interest in real estate was sparked during her early career at Financial Relations Board, a national PR firm where she worked with real estate investment trusts (REITs) such as Equity Residential. This experience led her to pursue her real estate license, becoming a licensed real estate sales professional with Baird & Warner, one of the oldest and most respected brokerages in the nation. Her early work in residential sales and market analysis sparked a passion for development. After relocating to Louisville, she began a career in property management with leading regional firms PMR Companies and Poe Companies, gaining hands-on experience in multifamily operations and tenant services. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for design, Dionne later launched a successful interior design practice. Her portfolio spans multi-million-dollar custom homes, luxury Airbnbs, Homearama showcase properties (2022, 2023, 2024), and commercial interiors for brands like Kelvin Cooperage and Northwestern Mutual. Her time working with elite builders such as Perry Lyons Architectural Builders and Paramount Quality Homes further inspired her to pursue development—combining design, business, and community impact under one roof. Dionne is part of a new wave of women reshaping the development landscape through innovation, intentionality, and inclusion. Dionne also sits on the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board.
